And now, a little political commentary from the editor .....
Hush a Bye Rush
March 3, 2012
The recent furor over the Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke's testimony before Congress regarding insurance coverage of birth control reveals a much larger, deeper issue in America - the state of Rush Limbaugh's sexual and emotional health. We need to ask ourselves why Rush Limbaugh is so angry, so unhappy, so much of the time. Why does he hate, disparage and openly detest so many of his fellow human beings? Why does he get so silly and sanctimonious about other people's sexual goings-on? I think I may have the answer. As they say in showbiz, he needs to get laid. (I mean look at him, the poor darling – it can't be easy. )
Yes, indeed. It's a well known fact among the sexual intelligentsia that adults who are constantly vexed by and disappointed in life are not – how shall we say – getting any. At least not from those they wish they were getting it on with, or on a regular basis. Rush needs some mummy time. He needs some touch, some love, plain and simple. May I suggest that everyone who sees Rush give him a hug and a kiss? It's not sex, I grant you, but it's a start. If you can't hug him, send him a sexy greeting card. Let him know you love him, warts and all. The poor man spends so much of his time being miserable that something simply needs to be done, and it's up to each and everyone of us to chip in to his greater happiness. The man is clearly a wreck; misery such as this must be mended. But don't despair - with enough of us helping, we can right that bus and get him back on the road to healthy sexual expression. Don't forget – once upon a time he, too, was a happy bouncing baby boy, full of promise. Just hope we're not too late. Come to think of it, perhaps he should ask Sandra for some help - clearly her sex life is in good working order. I think I speak for all healthy Americans when I say we would welcome them coming together, with open arms.
